About
It all started when…
Flower Huizar and George Cervantes revive what used to be ABC Liquor at 9956 Lakewood Blvd. in November 2016 and have transformed it to the local Trading Post it is today.
The duo had been friends for 15 years prior to going into business and found that each other's work ethic complemented this dream to see Trading Post come to life. “It was a little run-down already,” said Huizar. “I just saw the opportunity to make it nice.”
Inspired by Old Town San Diego and Temecula the two felt that they wanted to bring this unique experience to the city they call home. “We’re focusing on things like whiskeys and craft beer, ” said Cervantes. “We felt that there’s nothing like this around here, and we feel that our neighbors, it’s kind of what they’re looking for.
Trading Post is more than just a convenient store it's an experience and a place to forget about your busy work days or long commutes and just unwind in nostalgia through the selection of retro candies or to find that unique craft beer/ spirit your local liquor store won't have.
"Our belief is simple, we just want to bring the community together."
